  • Patient 2- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 46 year old male who felt that his nose made him appear older than his age due to its drooping appearance. A dorsal hump visible on profile aggravated that downward look. In addition, the patient felt strongly that his nose appeared too wide and flat on frontal view.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows a handsome male with an attractive nose that is slightly wide and flat looking as well as curving a bit to the left.
  • Patient 2- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph after open rhinoplasty shows a more chiselled and refined nasal appearance with correction of the left curvature.
  • Patient 2- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph shows a strong nose with a small hump on the bridge and marked drooping to the attitude of the tip, creating the impression of a more aged nose.
  • Patient 2- Post-op Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph demonstrates a strong straight profile with a more youthful tip attitude.

Open rhinoplasty has produced a natural-appearing correction of the nasal drooping without any hint of an up-turned or overly feminine attitude. The bridge is straightened and the width of the nose appropriately adjusted.
  • Patient 3- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 23 year old male who sought a secondary cosmetic rhinoplasty to correct the aesthetic deficiencies in a previous rhinoplasty. Specifically, the patient objected to the disparity between bridge height and tip projection as visible on profile view. In addition, the patient noted a "disconnected" look between the bridge and the tip as seen on frontal view. Finally, the patient requested augmentation of the chin.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows a handsome young male with an aesthetic disconnect between the upper (bridge) and lower (tip) complexes of the nose. In addition, the bony bridge is too wide, the tip is bulky and somewhat hanging.
  • Patient 3- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph following closed rhinoplasty shows markedly improved integration of the bridge and tip sight lines. In addition, the tip is less bulky and more upright in its orientation.
  • Patient 3- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph shows excessive prominence of the profile line in the area immediately above the tip. In addition, the nose is long and somewhat down curved and the chin is retruded.
  • Patient 3- Post-op Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph, following the surgery that also icluded chin augmentation, shows a straightened profile line and an improved chin projection.

Closed rhinoplasty and chin augmentation have produced an integrated profile line, improved balance between the chin and the nose and improved integration of the bridge into the tip on frontal view.
  • Patient 6- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 28 year old male who sought cosmetic rhinoplasty to correct the width of his nose on frontal view as well as the prominent curve to his profile on lateral view.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows a handsome young male with moderately excessive width of the nose.
  • Patient 6- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph following closed rhinoplasty shows improved proportion to the width of the nasal contours.
  • Patient 6- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph demonstrates that there is also a prominently convex profile line.
  • Patient 6- Post-op Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph after rhinoplasty demonstrates the markedly inmproved profile line. Closed rhinoplasty has produced a straight nasal profile with a more well-integrated frontal appearance.
  • Patient 7- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 24 year old male who sought to correct the prominent and hump-like appearance of his nasal profile. He voiced no specific objection to the frontal appearance of the nose, but acknowledged the necessity to adjust the width of the bony nasal bridge to accomodate to a straightened profile.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows a handsome young male with a strong and attractive male nose.
  • Patient 7- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph taken following closed rhinoplasty shows preservation of the strong natural appearance of the nose width subtle refinement of the width of the bony bridge.
  • Patient 7- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph reveal an prominent hump appearance to the profile line.
  • Patient 7- Post-op Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph demonstrates a strong but more attractive straightened profile line.

Closed rhinoplasty has produced a straightened, yet strong and pleasing masculine profile line. The width of the bony bridge has been adjusted to preserve a pleasing frontal appearance.
  • Patient 8- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 24 year old male who sought corrective rhinoplasty to correct nasal deformities that included an extremely large, wide nose that deviated to the left and had a strong convex profile line associated with tip drooping.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows ruggedly handsome young male with a large, wide, and markedly deviated nose.
  • Patient 8- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph taken following an open rhinoplasty reveals correction of the nasal width and asymmetry.
  • Patient 8- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph shows a prominently convex profile line associated with tip drooping.
  • Patient 8- Post-op Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph demonstrates a dramatic improvement in the profile line and tip angle.

Open rhinoplasty has produced marked improvement in the convexity of the nasal profile and drooping of the tip. In addition, the corrected nose is symmetrical and reduced in width.
  • Patient 10- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 23 year old male who sought rhinoplasty to correct a major curvature of his nose. Many years earlier the patient had undergone cosmetic rhinoplasty that excessively reduced his profile. Following that, he had a secondary procedure to reconstruct the profile with cartilage taken from his rib. In the two years following that second procedure, his nasal bridge had progressively warped into a curved configuration. He sought consultation with Dr. Godfrey in the hope of correcting this problem.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows a handsome male with a with a markedly warped nose.
  • Patient 10- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph following autologous composite graft from the rib/cartilage complex shows a reconstruction with correction of the nasal warping.

  • Patient 11- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph takern after closed rhinoplasty shows a more chiseled nasal appearance with improvement to the width of the central portion of the nose.
  • Patient 11- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph again shows a handsome male with a minimal hump on bridge and a nose that turns downward slightly at the tip.
  • Patient 11- Post-op Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph demonstrates a straighter and more youthful profile line that preserves a strong masculine appearance.
  • Patient 12- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 31 year old male who sought surgery to correct a markedly deviated nose that resulted from a criminal assault. CT scan confirmed that traumatic disruption of his nasal bones that complicated a previously deviated nasal septum.

An early closed reduction of the nasal bone fracture produced improvement, but not complete correction of the nasal deviation.

This pre-operative frontal photograph shows a markedly distorted, traumatized nose.
  • Patient 12- Post-op 2 Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph following septorhinplasty demonstrates final correction of both the traumatic deformity and the nasoseptal deviation.
  • Patient 12- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph again shows a markedly distorted appearance with collapse of the nasal bridge.
  • Patient 12- Post-op 2 Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph following septorhinoplasty shows the final profile appearance.
  • Patient 13- Pre-op Frontal View
The patient is a 24 year old male who sought rhinoplastic surgery to correct an overprojected nose and a receding chin. In addition, the patient felt that the tip of his nose was slightly too bulbous and deviated to the right of midline. The patient wished to increase his chin projection and soften his profile.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows a slightly deviated nose with a slightly heavy tip.
  • Patient 13- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph following closed rhinoplasty shows a more symmetrical nose with a conservatively refined tip.

Pre-operative frontal photograph shows and handsome male with marked distortion to the tip of the nose due to alar cartilage distortion.
  • Patient 5- Post-op Frontal View
Post-operative frontal photograph following open rhinoplasty shows marked improvement to the contour of the nasal tip following open rhinoplasty to correct the deformities of the tip cartilges.
  • Patient 5- Pre-op Lateral View
Pre-operative lateral photograph shows a prominent hump on the profile as well as drooping appearance to the tip.
  • Patient 5- Post-op Lateral View
Post-operative lateral photograph shows the improved appearance of the profile line. In addition, it is possible to just detect the transcolumellar scar just below the right nostril sill.
