This patient had an uncommon type of cancerous tumor affecting the scalp and the skull.

This CT scan shows detsruction of the entire thickness of the skull.

This is the plan for a free flap of skin and fat from over the patient's shoulder blade area.

This shows the flap attached to the back by only its blood vessels and ready for transfer to the scalp and skull defect created by the tumor removal.

This is the patient after healing of the flap directly over the brain.
