Complex Flap
Return to Basics of Reconstruction Go to reconstruction information Go to information on skin cancer
This is a large defect of the upper chest and shoulder area which followed cancer surgery. The bare collar bone is left exposed in the upper part of the wound.

This shows a complex flap of muscle and skin raised from the patient's back. It is being tunneled through the armpit to the defect.

This is the healing reconstruction.
